With my two New Years resolutions being to find a new job and enter into a healthy relationship, this book is exactly what I needed to open my eyes to the obvious. Chemistry matters. Whether on a first date or at a job interview, if you can trigger the chemistry,it is likely things will move forward. Yes, there are fundamental differences between men and women and discussing them does not make it sexist, it is just creates dialogue that leads to awareness. A big thanks to Leil Lowndes for making this book available to me at the time when I needed it most. I enjoyed this so much that I have already downloaded two other titles from the author.
Leil's new book How to Create Chemistry with Anyone is an eye opener. Now I understand why many of my former relationships never got off the ground and why I am so happily married now. The book clearly explains why that chemical spark you feel when you first meet someone is so important, so electric, and so instant. And I enjoyed reading about the unique ways that both men and women can create a romantic spark at first sight. Anyone who is looking for a new relationship will find this book helpful by learning techniques to create different kinds of chemical attraction through the first conversation, first date, subsequent dates, and sex. An added bonus is the book's tongue-in-cheek humor and amusing personal stories. This book was a rollicking good read with lots of useful information.
Having read this book, the author tries to use so called 'scientific' evidence for her assumptions about men and women. She is incredibly sexist, advising men to patronize a woman if he's not understanding what she's saying. On the topic of conversation she advises women to be supportive and talk less than half the time. To men, she says 'use wit'. he talks about the major differences between men and women leading up to and during sex as if they are barbie and ken...fake plastic dolls that don't know how to talk. She doesn't give men enough credit and intimates that their brains are much slower than women's due to physiological differences, which is completely false.
Also, her tone is cloying and just like something out of Cosmo, talking about hunters, quarries and 'female brains.' If I read another stereotypical sentence from this terrible book, my 'female brain' is going to explode. It's books like these that reinforce misogyny and fosters non-communicative relationship amongst it's readers. The other reviewers must be the people that published the book.
Yuck. I wish I'd not spent a dime on this. They should have paid me to read it.
My wife ordered How to Create Chemistry with Anyone 75 Ways to Spark It Fast--and Make It by
Leil Lowndes out of curiosity, possibly business reasons. She tossed it after we both read some of the outrageous things in it. Worst book EVER written. Also, we both agree, horrible advice for poor unsuspecting young people out there.
Really liked this book! Loaned it out to a friend who's loving it, too! Thanks so much. Bought another book of hers "How to Talk to Anyone." Great author.
I have always been amazed of Leil's work and read all her previous books. By far this book has topped my favorites list. If you truly wish to learn about the opposite sex's point of view this book is a must read. I am anxiously awaiting for another book from Leil and must congratulate her on such a well researched book.
I purchased this e-book last year, and it's one of those books I don't want to get rid of.
Great things to learn about - brain chemistry & personality.
I'll be rereading it again soon.
